Lighting Assessments |
Lighting can be 30% of any utility bill and reducing those costs can pay for an upgrade in as little as two years. We can help you reduce costs by simply changing light bulbs or updating fixtures and bulbs. We evaluate your current lighting for effectiveness and efficiencies, then we make recommendations on ways to reduce costs. New technologies can pay for themselves in a matter of months. Let us show you how. |

Kitchen and Bath Design Services |
Our in house interior designers work with the design and functionality of a client’s space, whether the space is commercial or residential. Each design is unique and reflects the lifestyle and the thoughtful interpretation of the client’s vision. The initiation of every design is rooted in the desire to create an environmentally friendly space that is intimate in personality and considerate in execution. Our goal is to help each of our clients discover what it means to “live well” by using materials that are healthy. We work closely with each client to determine individual budgets, the structure of a space, the needs of the occupants, and the style that best suits it all. Our interior designers are formally trained with years of experience and are members of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA). Contact Robyn Baker for more information. |

Energy Audits |
A home energy Audit is often the first step in making your home more efficient. An audit can help you assess how much energy your home uses and evaluate what measures you can take to improve efficiency and stop wasting costly energy.
If you are interested in getting specific recommendation for improving the efficiency of your home, consider contacting Green Way Supply and have one of our professional Home Energy Auditors evaluate your energy consumption. Our Auditors are certified under the Federal Government's Weatherization Program to provide energy audits. They are trained to use a variety of techniques and equipment to determine the energy efficiency of your home. Thorough audits often use equipment such as blower doors, which measure the extent of leaks in the building envelope, and infrared cameras, which reveal hard-to-find areas of air infiltration and missing insulation.
Simple things like turning off lights, switching to CFL's, installing motion detectors on outside lights, and using a programmable thermostat are effective ways to reduct your utility bills. We will pinpoint problem areas and provide you with additional options to improve your home's energy performance. Changes you make today will start saving you money tomorrow.

Blower Door Tests |
The Indiana Community Action Association certifies those who complete the Federal Government's Weatherization Training Program. Two of our employees are certified to perform these energy audits under the weatherization program and we provide these services. We can also provide these services to those not covered under the government program. We have blower door equipment and can determine the heat loss in your home or business.
According to the U.S. Department of Energy, simple leaks in your home can sap energy efficiency by 5-30% a year. Our professional energy auditors use a Blower Door Test to determine the air leakage of your home. A Blower Door consists of a frame and flexible panel that fits in an exterior doorway, a variable speed fan, a pressure gauge, and an airflow manometer. The fan pulls air out of the house, lowering the air pressure inside. The higher outside air pressure then flows in through unsealed crack and openings. Our auditors use a smoke pencil to determine air leaks. The test also determines the air infiltration rate of your home. We record the exact locations of problem areas and give you a report. By adding insulation, caulking and sealing cracks you can reduce the cost of heating and air conditioning your home significantly. Knowing what to fix is the key to an effective weatherization project.
