Indiana State Fair Solar Shelters
Green Way Supply designed and installed Tram Stop Solar Shelters located near the Normandy Barn in the Northwest section of the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Gammons Metal of Indianapolis fabricated the shelters which have UniSolar solar panels laminated to their metal roof trays. This 3000-watt, grid-tie system feeds into a nearby utility service panel that provides power to the fairgrounds. Fat Spaniel performance monitoring equipment is located inside the Normandy Barn. The system is tied to a kiosk that displays current and historical data including power generation, cost savings, CO2 offsets and more. Green Way Supply partnered with the Indiana State Fair and Indianapolis Power & Light to create this unique solar application.
